Use it from code: the free API
The same answer comes from a GET request with no key, no account and no cookie, open to every website (CORS). Add Accept: text/markdown for Markdown instead of JSON, and limit=1 to limit=10 for fewer items.
curl "https://getbioflow.com/api/tools/feed?url=https%3A%2F%2Fexample.com%2Ffeed.xml"One address can make 30 calls a minute and 300 a day. Each feed is read at most once every 10 minutes and shared by every caller, so ageSeconds says how old an answer is.
Errors
Errors are RFC 9457 problem documents with a code:
missing_url,invalid_url,invalid_limit(400): the request cannot be read.unreadable_feed(422): the address answered with something that is not a public RSS or Atom feed, or did not answer in time.rate_limited(429): past the allowance; wait the seconds inRetry-After.busy(503): too many feeds are being read at once; try again in a few seconds.
Show your latest posts on your site
Paste these two lines where the list should appear. They list the feed’s latest posts, each linked to the original, and stay as fresh as the feed. Set data-limit to show fewer.
<div data-bioflow-feed="https://example.com/feed.xml" data-limit="5"></div>
<script src="https://getbioflow.com/embed/feed.js" async></script>How to convert an RSS feed to JSON
- Find the feed address. Most blogs and podcasts link their feed as RSS, often at /feed, /rss or /feed.xml. A podcast's feed address is listed in its hosting dashboard.
- Paste it and convert. Paste the address into the box and press Convert. The page reads the feed and shows its latest items and the JSON.
- Call the API from code. Send the same address to GET /api/tools/feed?url= from a script, an app or an AI agent. It answers JSON, or Markdown when you ask for text/markdown.
- Or embed it on your site. Copy the two-line snippet into any web page. It lists the feed's latest posts, linked to the originals, and refreshes as the feed does.
What you get
- The latest 10 items of any public RSS or Atom feed
- Titles, links, dates, summaries, images and podcast audio
- A free JSON API with no key, CORS open to every site
- A two-line embed that lists the latest posts on your website
The feed is read with the same reader that keeps a BioFlow RSS block in sync with a blog or podcast, so a feed that works here works on a bio page too.
